I collect as little data as possible, use it only to help you and never sell it. Below you can read exactly what I process and why.

Who is responsible

Rene IJnema, reachable at hello@reneijnema.nl, is responsible for processing personal data through reneijnema.nl and the services I provide.

Which data I process

  • Contact form and call back request: your name, email address, phone number (for call backs) and your message.
  • Clients: name, company name, email, address and billing details, and the data needed for your services, such as your domain name.
  • Your account: email address and the sign-in codes I send you (no passwords).
  • Technical data: server logs with IP address and browser, only for security and fixing problems.

What for and on which legal basis

  • Answering your question or calling you back: at your request (pre-contractual).
  • Providing services and invoicing: performance of the agreement.
  • Accounting: legal retention obligation.
  • Security of the website and servers: legitimate interest.

How long I keep data

  • Messages through the contact form: up to a year after the last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Client and billing data: 7 years, because of the legal retention obligation.
  • Server logs: at most 30 days.
  • Sign-in codes: a few minutes, then they expire.

Who I share data with

I only share data when needed for the service: with the data centre where the servers are, with registries and registrars for domain names, with my email provider and with payment providers. Agreements on security and confidentiality are in place with them. I never sell data and use no advertising networks.

The website and servers are in a data centre in Amsterdam. Where a supplier is outside the EU, that only happens with appropriate safeguards.

Security

The website only uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to me, servers are kept updated and secured, and sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords.

Your rights

You may view, correct or delete your data, restrict processing, object and have your data transferred. Email hello@reneijnema.nl; I reply within a month. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
